Other uses
Mariner's Hitch
A mariner's hitch can be formed from a bight of
Web-o-lette formed using an overhand knot. The
mariner's hitch releases under load.
|
Friction Hitch
Tie a friction hitch (Kleimheist) using an eye of the Web-o-lette.
This friction hitch can be used for self-rescue.
|
3:1 Z-Pulley
With four biners you can create a 3:1 weight-assisted
Z-pulley. Each pair of biners is linked and arranged
to minimize friction.
|
NOTE: Although a Web-o-lette looks like a "rabbit runner", Mountain Tools
does not recommend that configuration, and suggests that climbers use
regular sewn runners or quickdraws, which have twice as many load bearing
members.
