Climbing wall (single panel)

Step 1. Drill holes in plywood panel
Step 2. Frame panel with 2x4 studs
Step 3. Brace panel at desired angle

Although quite usable, this single panel design is a little cramped. The braces get in the way of some climbing movements and you must be careful to avoid hitting them when you fall. Also don't get too wild at the top--you could tip it over sideways. A more stable design would use two panels mounted side by side to create an 8'x8' climbing surface. An even better, but more complicated, design would be to separate the braces from the panel by up to 3' on each side.
