Figure Eight with Extra Pass

I like to use the Figure Eight with an Extra Pass described in Craig Luebben's book "Knots for Climbers." This knot has a reduced profile and doesn't have a backup knot to wack you in the face. As a bonus, this variant of the Figure Eight knot doesn't cinch up as badly as the normal Figure Eight when loaded. The extra pass makes the knot easier to untie after a fall.

NOTE: I like to leave the loop of the extra pass a little loose to help in untying.
